Islands By Design was retained by APM Terminals Moín, S.A. to provide a strategy and solution for coastal morphology, erosion, and mitigation, monitoring, for the proposed container port at Moin, Costa Rica.

The reports were for submittal to The Secretaria Técnica Nacional Ambiental (SETENA), the official environmental agency of the government of Costa Rica. This project was developed under the auspices of the Junta de Administracion Portuaria y de Desarrollo Economico de la Vertiente Atléntica de Costa Rica (JAPDEVA), the Board of Port Administration and Economic Development of Costa Rica’s Atlantic Coast.

The submitted Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) was well received and formally approved by SETENA. The Client expressed their satisfaction with the quality and quick turnaround of the work performed by Islands By Design.
